I want clients to see my Southern background, see that I care more about them than the numbers, and never feel like a number to me.

Charlie Thomas

Where Charlie comes from.

Charlie grew up in Arkansas, in a family that owned and ran an assisted living facility. He saw early what thoughtful financial planning did for retirees and their families: more security, and a lot less to worry about.

He earned his BBA and MBA at Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, Arkansas. That is where he found the fiduciary model, the idea that an advisor puts the client's interests first. It fit how he was raised, and it brought him to Florida about five years ago to build a practice around objective advice and long relationships. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, he holds himself to that standard in every client relationship.

Every client he has today came by way of another client. Most of them are in Florida, and the rest are in New York and Arkansas, people who have known him a long time. He meets clients in person in Plantation or by video, whichever suits them.

Outside the office you will find him at CrossFit, traveling somewhere new, or with family and friends. Some of his favorite client meetings never get to the numbers at all.

Why a magnolia.

The magnolia is one of the oldest and most resilient trees there is. It stands for the same things we want a plan to have.

Known for its strength, resilience and longevity, it reminds us that the greatest legacies are built over time. A magnolia tree gives shelter for generations, and thoughtful planning can do the same for the people you love.

The shield around it in our logo is the other half: protecting what matters most while helping families grow, preserve and pass on what they have built. Provide today. Protect tomorrow. Leave a legacy.

How we plan.

Every new client walks through the same one-page formula. Our approach

Investment consultingYour portfolio, its risk, its costs and its taxes, managed toward what matters to you.
Advanced planningTaxes and cash flow, passing wealth on, protecting it, and giving.
Relationship managementOne advisor who knows your situation, working with your CPA and attorney.
Wealth managementThe three together, in one written plan.

How we work with first responders.

We teach retirement classes at departments and agencies in Florida: sheriff's offices, fire stations, corrections and SWAT. There is no sales talk in them, just the planning and what the options are: the pension and the Investment Plan, DROP and the 457. Three to five years before retirement is the best time to sit in on one.

A yearly book on retirement planning was a huge hit with the people in those rooms, and we are rewriting it, because a station talk ends the moment a call comes in and a book can be picked up later.

Thomas Wealth Management is not associated with any union. We say it at every class, and we say it here.
